Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use ritmoteka.com: the waitlist, the free taster classes, a free account and, once it opens, a paid membership. Please read them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Who we are

Ritmoteka's company details (legal name, registered address, registration and VAT numbers) are being added to this page. Until then, write to juan.colmenares@ritmoteka.com with any legal or privacy question.

2. Who can use Ritmoteka

You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for what happens on your account. Tell us at juan.colmenares@ritmoteka.com if you think someone else has used it.

3. The waitlist and taster classes

Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to buy anything. Until launch, people on the waitlist can watch free taster classes on the dates shown on the waitlist page. We may change the schedule or the classes. You can ask us to remove you from the waitlist at any time.

4. Membership and payments

Paid membership is not on sale yet. It opens on January 4 with a 3-day free trial. Before you pay, the price, billing period, trial, renewal and how to cancel will be shown clearly, and these terms will be updated with those details before anyone is charged. You will be able to cancel in your account at any time, and we will never require a reason. Your refund and withdrawal rights are set out in the Refund Policy.

5. Using the classes

The videos, captions, notes and other material on Ritmoteka are protected by copyright and belong to Ritmoteka or its instructors and licensors. You may watch them for your own, personal, non-commercial practice. You may not download, record, copy, share your account, resell, publicly show or teach from them without our written permission.

6. Dance safely

Dancing is physical exercise. Warm up, practise in a safe space with enough room, and stop if something hurts. If you have a health condition or injury, check with a doctor before you start. Classes are general instruction, not medical or physiotherapy advice.

7. The community and what you post

You keep ownership of what you post (text, comments, videos). By posting, you allow Ritmoteka to host and show it on the service to other members for as long as it is online. Be respectful: no harassment, hate, sexual content involving anyone without their consent, spam, or anything illegal or that you do not have the right to share. We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend accounts that keep breaking them.

8. Our part

We work to keep Ritmoteka available and correct, but it may sometimes be interrupted for maintenance or fixes. We may change, add or remove classes and features; if we remove something that is a main part of a paid membership, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Within those limits, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using Ritmoteka and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and will explain why when we can.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you before it applies. If you do not agree with it, you can stop using the service before then.

12. Law and disputes

The law that governs these terms is the law of the country where the operator above is established. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts. You can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
